Cookie Policy

+ Updated 2026-09-27

This policy explains which cookies this website uses, who sets them, and how you can change your choices at any time.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files downloaded to your device (computer, smartphone, tablet) when you visit certain websites. They store and retrieve information about your browsing session and, depending on their type, may be used to improve your experience, measure site usage, or display third-party content.

2. Who Is Responsible?

  • CLOVERTRONIX SOUTHERN EUROPE, SOCIEDAD LIMITADA
  • NIF: B75861807
  • C/ dels Sants Just i Pastor, 133, Bajo Derecha, 46022 Valencia, Spain
  • Registro Mercantil de Valencia, número V-223755
  • Contact email: hola@startupweekendvalencia.com

3. Why We Use Cookies

This website uses cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Ensure the website functions correctly and securely (necessary cookies)
  • Record the cookie choice you make, so it is respected on return visits (necessary cookies)
  • Measure and analyse how the site is used, only after you give consent (analytics cookies, loaded through Google Tag Manager)
  • Display the role forms embedded on the pre-registration and sponsor pages. Those forms are provided by Notion and load as soon as one of those pages is opened, which sets Notion cookies at that point (functional cookies)
  • Enable embedded YouTube video content, which sets its own cookies, only after you accept Advertisement cookies in the consent banner and press play on the recap video on the homepage (advertisement cookies)

You can browse the website without accepting non-essential cookies. Analytics, advertisement and uncategorised cookies are only activated if you give explicit consent via the cookie consent banner (powered by CookieYes). One exception applies: the two role form pages load their embedded form from Notion as soon as the page opens, so Notion cookies are set when you open one of those pages, whatever choice you have made in the banner, and Notion shows its own cookie notice inside the form. You can change your preferences at any time, see Section 6.

4.1 Necessary Cookies (always active, no consent required)

These cookies are essential for the website to function and cannot be disabled. They include the CookieYes consent preference cookie, which records the choice you make in the consent banner so it can be applied on return visits. No personally identifiable data is stored.

4.2 Functional Cookies

These cookies are set by Notion, which provides the two role forms published on this site. Each of the pre-registration and sponsor pages loads its embedded form as soon as the page opens, so these cookies are set at that moment rather than after a separate click, and Notion displays its own cookie notice inside the form.

If you do not want these cookies, do not open those two pages, or block third-party cookies in your browser as described in Section 7.

4.3 Analytics Cookies (requires consent)

Analytics cookies on this site are set by the measurement tags loaded through Google Tag Manager, and only after you give consent. Google Tag Manager loads with Google Consent Mode v2 defaults set to denied, and your choice in the consent banner updates them. The container itself sets no cookies; any cookies come from the tags configured in it.

4.4 Performance Cookies

This category currently contains no active cookies on this website.

6. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

When you first visit the website, a consent banner appears allowing you to accept all, reject all non-essential, or customise by category. You can change your preferences at any time using the Cookie Settings link in the website footer, or here:

7. How to Disable Cookies via Your Browser

  • Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences / Settings > Privacy
  • Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions

8. Third-Party Providers

  • CookieYes (cookie consent management): https://www.cookieyes.com/privacy-policy
  • Google (Tag Manager and the tags loaded through it, only after consent): https://policies.google.com/privacy
  • Notion (the two role forms, which load as soon as one of those pages is opened): https://www.notion.so/privacy
  • YouTube / Google (embedded video content, loaded only after consent and only when you play the recap video; for users in the EEA, Google Ireland Limited): https://policies.google.com/privacy

We do not sell personal data.

9. International Transfers

These providers may transfer data outside the European Economic Area. Transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified under it, and on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission as a fallback safeguard. Where neither applies, an adequacy decision or another safeguard permitted by the GDPR is used. For the embedded YouTube video, the provider for users in the EEA is Google Ireland Limited, and data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States under these same safeguards. Section 7 of the Privacy Policy describes these safeguards in full.

10. Updates to This Policy

This Cookie Policy may be updated to reflect legal or technical changes. The current version is always available on this website.
